With the HQ Drum Kits, I assume that FL-Studio wants to keep up with other DAW manufacturers who offer a line of decent acoustic drum kits. That has worked well for electronic music where demand for sophisticated drum sample layering just isn’t there. FPC has been a simple yet effective drum sample player for years, with some basic sound structuring and manipulation functions. This was reason enough for me to test the new HQ Drum Kits and share my view.įirst of all, it should be mentioned that the makers of FL-Studio would never claim to be among the top contenders when it comes to virtual acoustic drums. Whoever believes that this relates only to the software backend itself is wrong: with each and every update, the good folks at Image-Line add great new features, effects, and generator plug-ins. As usual, FL-Studio updates come for free due to the company’s awesome commitment to providing lifetime free updates. Image-Line has just released the 12.1 update of its flagship DAW FL-Studio. I was messing around for 3 hours now, and I begin to think that it's impossible to route the Maschine in FL as it's supposed to be.įor example in Ableton Live it works fine, I can select different outputs for different groups or sounds.ĮDIT: I figured it out, I had to use Fruity Wrapper (the cogwheel symbol in FL 10).ĮDIT 2: Now I have antoher problem, since ou can't record a sample in FL if Maschine is a Sampler, you have to use Maschine FX as a effect plugin.

No matter what output I'm selecting in Maschine, the sound always uses the same channel as the sample. My question is: I have a sample and put some effects on the channel in FL (I don't use Maschines effects) everything is great, but now I select group 2 to program some drums, the sound comes into the same channel, with all the effects I don't need/want for my drums. I have a question too, since the thread isn't that old and regards FL Studio too, I don't need to open a new thread.
